The TGS Founder's Society has been established to honour those who have chosen to leave a gift in their will to Trinity. Trinity is deeply grateful to all who have made such a commitment. Their generosity—whether directed towards scholarships or the future development of our school—ensures that generations of boys to come will benefit from the same opportunities they once enjoyed. 

For guests new to the TGS Founder's Society and would like to learn more, this lunch will also be a wonderful opportunity to hear about the Society, its purpose, and the impact that leaving a bequest can make.

Matthew Barter (Class of 2025)
Matthew Barter (Class of 2025) and Jack Barter (Class of 2022) were fortunate to receive the gift of education through a Bequest. 

Growing up in the St George area, Jack and Matthew attended their local primary school and enjoyed the community on their street, including the friendship of a particular set of neighbours who played the role of neighbourhood grandparents. Unknowingly, their neighbours had bequeathed the gift of education on the boys, providing the funds to attend an Anglican school of their choosing.

When the neighbours passed away, this unexpected opportunity provided to the Barter boys was welcomed by the family and they chose Trinity Grammar School for both the boys' education. 

“I cannot stress enough how much it has shaped my brother and my identities and the way that we live,” Matthew says, urging anyone who is able to bequeath a similar gift or give to a scholarship fund, to do so. “While it was an education bequest, I owe my pursuit of Cadets to that, and I owe my pursuit of music to that".
