Spiro Returns to Trinity

Former School Captain, Spiro Christopoulos ('20), has returned to Trinity to help students keen to follow his path to a media career, appearing as a guest in the Media Production Co-curricular led by the School's Digital Content Co-ordinator John Blois.

Christopoulos gave students tips on interviewing, commenting, and presenting, and hopes to return for further sessions. He is a full-time producer and sports presenter on 2GB's breakfast show with Ben Fordham, and will have a “dream come true” when he reports from the Paris Olympics in July.

He said the interviews he carried out while at Trinity were a “big part of the foundation skills I now use day-to-day, and I'm happy to give back.

“The buzz and thrill of live radio, the immediacy, is brilliant,” he said. Despite the grind of a 1.45am alarm clock five days a week, he said working in the media was “everything I wanted, and expected, and more.”

The session with Spiro inspired the Media Crew's coverage of the recent CAS Swimming and Diving Championships, which can be viewed on their YouTube channel.
