Celebrating 50 years of the Archives Collection at TGS

Imagine embarking on a journey through time, exploring the rich tapestry of Trinity's history from its foundation in 1913!

Trinity’s Archival collection allows us to do just that and it’s all thanks to the School taking the significant step in 1975 to gather its history together into an Archive.

Thanks to this collection we can learn from our past, uphold organisational accountability, and celebrate the ways that the School has fulfilled its mission over the years.

Today, the School’s Archive is the custodian of over a century's worth of records and artifacts. These are preserved in various formats, including files, publications, photographs, construction designs, audio-visual recordings, objects, and memorabilia. Each item tells a unique story, and together they paint a vivid picture of Trinity's heritage.

Archives are different from museums – more information than object focused, though we have some objects as well.

Isn't it fascinating how the Archive collection connects us to the past and inspires future generations? What aspect of Trinity's history are you most curious about?

We warmly welcome donations from our Alumni community that fit our Acquisition Policy. Please contact the Archivist in the first instance. (We already have plenty of copies of all issues of The Triangle, thanks to your donations!).

  • Written or recorded stories and reminiscences from your school days – from both staff and students
  • Objects with a story - what is it and how does it relate to Trinity.
  • School awards – trophies / medals
  • Examples of schoolwork such as class exercise books etc.
  • Formal School Photos:
    • Prep class photos pre-1970s
