Congratulations to Joshua Karras '11 who has been awarded the prestigious UNSW Research Student Award (Faculty of Medicine and Health) for his outstanding involvement in Postgraduate and social wellbeing events, mentoring programs, and professional activism. In particular, his representation of all UNSW PhD candidates to strategically collaborate with UNSW leadership and lead a successful advocacy campaign for a stipend raise, to reflect the current rising cost of living during his time as UNSW’s Postgraduate Council President and the UNSW Council Postgraduate Councillor, has positively affected the lives of thousands of local and international students.
