Three science classrooms have seen upgrades
Three science classrooms have seen upgrades

The summer months are always a productive time for the Renewal Project and this past summer has seen favourable weather conditions that have seen works progressing nicely. 

Over recent weeks there has been significant progress in a number of the stages of the Renewal Project. 
 

Stage 3A 

Completed works include:

  • New school building demolition 
  • New Teaching & Learning initial foundation piles laid 
  • B Class hoarding access to Cafeteria 
  • B Class Hoarding access into Sports Centre 
  • Internal soft strip of floor finishes, door frames, doors FF&E, lightweight walls and ceilings to Quad

Continued works include: 

  • Removal of soft strip (soil) and hard demolition materials (new school building)
  • Perimeter foundation/shoring piling (120 units)  
  • Works commenced in this period include:
  • Crane base piling and slab for the new crane installation (booked for mid-March) 
  • Capping beam construction for the above 

Three science classrooms have seen upgrades, which are now complete and operational with students benefiting from the new features. 

TAS Staff have been relocated into their new upgraded staffroom which is also fully operational. 

 

Progress in the Design Centre 

Throughout the Design Centre, new power and lighting distribution boards have been installed and are now operational. 

The new Workshop is projected to be completed in Week 7. Progress so far includes: 

  • Completed structural alterations 
  • Internal finishes and painting are being installed 
  • Floor finishes will be installed in the next week 
  • The new Food Technology facilities are also well underway with: 
  • New vinyl floor finishes installed and complete 
  • Wall tiling completed 
  • Air conditioning installed 
  • Rangehoods installed 
  • New stainless steel benches installed
